Default pinion gear help !

hi there im after some advice (again)....ive got my dbo1 and ive got a new motor for it, its a modified 12x2 reedy any ideas what size pinion i should be using to be honest any advice on fitting this motor would be much appreciated

The supplied 17T pinion would be your best bet. The 23T pinion would be geared too high in my opinion. I would say anywhere between 17 and 20 would be good.

getting the pinion size right is critical, too big and you will kill the motor, too small and you will kill the motor.

if i was you, buy a large selection of pinions and do a few minutes driving using each and check the temperature.
