I have a Nosram Pearl ISTC v2 that I've just fitted to my 4wd and I am having issues with it cogging at low speeds.
When you go for the gas it seems to cog a little then boom it off ! I have changed the sensor lead and checked everything and I can't find anything obvious. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone point me in the right direction ? Mark |

I have spent a few hours trying to sort this now !
I have tried cleaning the motor (even though it's only about 5 mins old) Changing the sensor lead to 3 different ones Changed the cap and associated wiring. I have unplugged everything else from the receiver Battery's are fully charged Now it only does it under load. If I pick the car up it runs perfect ! Once I put the car on the floor or provide a little resistance then it just stutters/cogs. Anyone any ideas as I'd like to run this tomorrow ? |

I've tried that !
In fact I've tried changing all the settings on the speedo and no luck... :-( I can't understand it as it was fine in my 2wd last weekend. |

I'm fairly certain this is a speedo fault, think ill have to return it to Schumacher and see if they can find a fault. Mark |

I'd try a different motor and see if that has the same effect, especially if it's different to the one you ran last time you used the car.

I had the same problem with my pearl.
If you update to the new software from LRP or Nosram, it will work perfect! ![]() The old software are making the cogging! ![]()

I had the same thing, i have the same speedo as you along with an LRP x12 motor. I fitted a Novak motor instead and bingo, problem solved. I sent the X12 motor back to JE spares who sent it back to the suppliers. I got the motor back last week with a letter saying the motor is fine, no fault found???
![]() I changed everything, settings on the speedo, the speedo itself, (changed to a hobbywing, lrp tc spec and a speed passion), sensor leads, motor timing even fitted the electrics into a different car and with the X12 motor it coggs. ![]()

One thing to do is make sure you're running the 4dot insert for lowest motor timing. Also make sure that any shims on the rotor are at the pinion end to get the rotor as close as possible to the sensor. Finally, search on RCtech to see what firmware people recommend for your ESC with the X12 motor. |

We were running a X11 9.5t with no cogging. When motor failed we replaced with an X12 10.5T and had cogging. Made one of these http://www.instructables.com/id/How-...-buster-for-1/ and no more cogging

Official Novak one is 5600uf, 10 volts. Nearest one I could get from the local Maplin store was 4700uf, 16 volts and it works great. Maplin order code is VH57M |
