Default Vintage Race 17 June?

Hi Guys,

Do any of you vintage lovers fancy dusting off your old car/s for some vintage racing action at the Armageddon meeting?

You can.

I think the only rule is the car has to have been released pre 2002?

Ah, but how much of the car has to be released before 2002

I'm afraid many of the components on my car would fail this criteria

I think the rule should be up to 94/95 as any further it will be very unfair.

Good, Procat's still in then.

Isn't the xx4 a very good vintage 4wd racer... but didn't Losi re-release it in the early 2000s? Those beat me all the time at Stotfold

Damn.... this is the same weekend as the Ardent 24hr Would have been up for this with a modern buggy or a vintage.

I'm with Welshy40 - you've got to have the cut-off around 93/94 to eliminate cars like the Losi DoubleX... which to be honest would be just as competitive as any modern buggy out there.

Are you allowing brushless and lipo? I still run SCRCs and brushed in my Procat, which might not be that competitive

It will introduce modern racers to the statements 'dumping' and 'I think the brush is sticking'

I think we'll allow brushless and lipo's however a award will be given for car that has period electronics.

I will update the website tonight to allow a vintage class, so you can all book in should you want to.

Hmm... the ProCAT still has it's 1989 NOSRAM Exterminator Pro fitted, but I got rid of the remains of its last motor some time ago...

If the vintage racing is on the Sunday only, then I will make the effort to be out with my vintage Schumacher`s and Losi`s.

I will run brushed motor`s with Lipo`s

Wonder if I could blag an entry in this as a fathers day present? Would this constitute spending time with the kids if I made it a family day out?

Is there a closing date for entries? And would I need a personal transponder?

Thanks
