Default what soldering iron ???

hi, been struggling to get a good iron

got a cheap 30w that isnt powerful enough for some jobs, and i had a weller 40w that was ace but eat tips for breakfast,

i only need to do mottor/ esc wires max and hardly ever do any other size but would be nice if it could

so can you help me find a good iron, ? what have you tryed ect

Awesome iron covers most popular tasks although i would buy a larger tip for motors and esc's. Heats up mega fast and holds the heat really well.

I have used a variety of irons over the past few years and the LRP iron is one of my favourites although £200 is a little steep for hobby use.

I would read this post from Rctech as well as this has helped me a massive amount.

i use a weller 40watt, and found as long as you wipe the tip after use it wont rott
