I'm not familiar with that tranny personally, but if it takes 8 AA batteries side by side then something like this would fit right in.
You might need to attach a plug so the lipo can be quickly removed http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lipo-AKKU-...item336fb15774 |

Great batt that I use it in my 3vcs never let me down, the only problem is its a tight fit but it last forever 👍

How do you guys charge the tx Lipo. I'm guessing you can no longer use the transmitter charger?
Can you charge through the transmitter connection lead? If so what charge rate do you use? I have an emergency charge lead for my NiMh but if you use above 1A the lead connections get quite warm. Just wondered because an ideal charge rate on the ebay battery would be 2.2A (2200mAh) |

Thanks for that. I made up a charge lead using the socket I had cut off for something else. It sits in my pit box as an emergency incase my NiMh (or my mates) die midway through a meet. I experimented with different charge rates for them but the essence was speed of charge so you could get back up and racing quickly.
I'm finding I usually have to charge the transmitter at home between meetings and it would be nice to have a 'fit and forget' battery. Are there any cut off rules for the lipo voltage when fitted in a transmitter? Do they have any undervoltage protection? |

Save some money you may consider these. They have a very slow discharge like lipos and you can still use your emergency lead
