Default Tamiya Wild One Parts

I've been building a conservatory for a mate and i was in his garage yesterday and found an old Tamiya Wild One sitting in a box. Now it needs some bits and a good clean. My question is, ebay has some parts but where else can i get bits on line.

Cheers

Ross

Try http://vintage-tamiyaparts.com he sells on ebay as vintage-tamiyaparts but as there's no ebay fees he sells them much cheaper on his website.

A lot of the parts used on the rerelease FAV are the updated Wild One parts so can be easily found new, check out the FAV rerelease manual here http://www.tamiya.com/japan/download/rcmanual/58496.pdf to compare what modern parts will swap over and which are different. If you need a Wild One manual, it can be found here http://www.tamiyabase.com/Manuals/58...ne-manual.html

If you need a body them Team Bluegroove http://stores.ebay.co.uk/TEAM-BLUEGROOVE usually lists them, I presume they have shut down for the holidays. And if you need a driver figure, nothing beats Beetlelovers Wild One head http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_mod...101624&id=3092

Hi

Does anyone know if something like B4 front wheels will fit on the wild one. The axle is around 10mm long.

cheers

Ross

Pretty certain that's a no.

B4 wheels use imperial bearings and axles.

Change it to B4 axles and you're in with a chance.

My Mardave Cobra runs JC Racing B4 five spokes all round.
The fronts run on modified B4 axles.

Tamiya DT-02 wheels fit I think. 2010 Holiday Buggy, Sand Viper, Desert Gator, 2011 Sand Rover etc, all the same and will allow you to use a "modern" 2.2 tyre. Having said that, I put modern tyres on my Wild One and it was truly truly horrible. Best to stick with old skool rubber.
