years ago when using brushed esc if you got one that had reverse on it,it wasnt as powerful as one that had no reverse as it used some of its power bank to run reverse mode ,not sure if thats true but what i was told.my question is i run a nosram matrix reverse if i disable reverse would i get more forward power as it doesnt neeed to split power between forward and reverse? can anyone shed any light thanx

Brushed ESC used to have to switch the positive and negative wires to do reverse which resulted in more than double the power loss.
I think with brushless, just the order of pulses to the motor changes so I don't think losses will change when the mode is changed. |
