Default Difference between LRP Sphere and Sphere TC

Hi,

Other than the fan coming with the TC version, does anyone know if there's any other differences?

Looking to get one with a fan for 4wd buggy, and don't know whether to just get the TC version!?

Just get the TC, has the fan and heatsink already installed.
Some of the specs are diff, but only very slightly.

I've got both and the TC also has thicker wires and a bigger capacitor to help it deal with the extremely high current put through it by touring cars.
The competition is fine for anything offroad as far as I'm concerned, even down to 4,5 turn brushless, as long as you have the cooling openings cut out in your bodyshell.
But then you can always hook up a small fan later if you do have problems with heat.

Concerning the power profiles and other settings available, they are identical.

it does have different hardware inside it. its not just a case of having a heatsink+fan pre-installed.

I run the normal sphere with max punch/brakes, so the TC would probably suit me then.

How much bigger is the capacitor, bit worried about space!

The numbers referr to settings in the profile. I am sure the first digit determines LiPo or NIMH.

All sounds very confusing to me i'll worry about it when i actually put it in the car lol

Oh just noticed your post could have quite a different meaning if you'd missed out the 'sp'

Default Short wires on capacitor

I found the wires on the capacitor to be very short making it hard to fit into my predator, so I extended them allowing location of the cap in a convenient spot, seems to work fine ( make a note which is the + and - on the cap if its not marked befor you remove the wires ), FYI the cap in the options kit is the same size.

It says the voltage input on the TC is 4.8 to 7.2V - does that mean you cant run a 7.4V LiPo?

Apart from that they dont look a lot different. The TC is heavier (because of the fan I guess) but some of the other specs are actually slightly better (you can use lower turn motors and the wires are thicker).
