It is highly likely the circlip has been over compressed when you put it in the diff and it pops out of the diff housing when tightening the diff up. My suggestion is to order the xray sprung steel circlip and that will sort ya, or the new DEX210 gear diff should be out this week...........

I always stretch the circlip and its never let me down. Mines smooth as silk and no slip whatsoever.

It can sit correctly then pop out when you tighten then pop back in when you loosen it again

Xray 966080 is the part number
The clip will pop back in again once the diff is taken apart again to inspect. I could hear mine popping as I slowly tightened it up by hand when it was out of car and then it would appear to be seated in the housing again when i took it all apart. try it thats all I can say

might be on the assembly of the trust washer.

or the circlip is not installed properly, the flatter side faces away from the thrust bearing and in toward the differential.

its easy to overlook as this minute details can spell the difference. did not use my Diff but used a SC10 Gear Diff.

FIXING A DAMAGED CIRCLIP
If you’ve managed to damage the clip during installation, either by using incorrect tools or by applying too much force – you might be able to expand the clip back to its original shape when its in position by opening up the open ends of the clip. Using a large flat-bladed driver, hold one side of the blade against the outdrive and between the open ends of the circlip – then turn the driver to force the two ends apart and stretch the clip back into its original shape to fill the groove.

cheers!!!

Just something that I came across. Some people at my club were complaining about the diff slipping even when fully tightened up, and also complaining about the diff loosening off mid run.

Same thing causes both problems. As the diff out drives fit so snuggly into the diff gear, it takes alot of pressure to exspell excess grease. So some drivers using too much grease were just tightening down the diff screw against two layers on non-compressible grease rather than the diff balls.

Solution: Use very little clear grease in on the diff balls. I just coat each ball and don't worry about smearing a layer over the rings.

Once you heed this advice you'll find that you will never have a circlip issue again. There is nothing wrong with the kit, its the people building them that are the problem.
