Default Vector NX85 charger

I've recently bought a new Vector NX85 charger but it doesn't come with any instructions. Firstly it doesn't seem to charge or register my transmiter but will with my hump pack? The second thing is it works using mains voltage and 12v DC but nothing seems to happen when trying to use the 12v battery, any help would be apreciated thanks.

Are you charging the pack in the transmitter? Check the size of the pin in the tranny charge plug and the hole on the charger connector. Although the outside may fit (normally 5.5mm) there are 2 inner options (2.1mm + 2.5mm) so if you have a small pin and a big hole it won't make contact. If that is the case you can 'pack out' the 2.5mm connector with a few stands of wire to check connection.

For the 12V input, check the fuse. Sorry if I'm being obvioue but most dual power chargers only fuse the 12V input as they rely on the protection in the 240V PSU to protect against an problems.

Hope this helps,

Ian

Thanks for the replies lads. Still stuck tho haha! Starting with the transmitter i thought that about the jack plug with it coming with 2 sizes so with them not working i tried them with another lead that i know fits and works and still no joy??

As for the 12v side of things i checked fuse first with being an electrician and it was fine so tried the switch at the front in both positions thinking off maybe worked for the 12v side of things on the on position was for when using mains voltage? no joy with any so ill have a see and maybe it could be faulty?

thanks again tho lads
