Default 210 steering rack

Is there another steering rack from another buggy that fits and works well?
I broke mine at the DHI cup and just want the rack not all the other parts on the tree that come with the rack.

Otherwise it may have to be a CF one, might just try my hand at making one myself

I also broke mine at the weekend and will have a home made CF part ready for this weekend.

I'm not sure, but I think plates with glass fibres/FRP or aluminium are worth trying as well. I recall being told by Fibre-Lyte that the lesser rigidity of glass layers (in their CSC, Carbon Silica Carbon?) plates is compensated by a slightly better impact strength. Alu might also be worth a try because it's not as brittle as carbon.

Anyway, I was surprised by how lightweight the whole steering rack is built, the steering plate in particular. So how often/easily is it broken?

The atomic carbon racks are very good quality and match the geometry of the original TD one, unlike the Akula one (unless they have changed it)

I tried and made my own, the outside isn't real nice but the holes line up like the original, that has to be the important part right.

I broke mine on a awkward landing last friday night. Snapped in the thin section where the screw goes into.

An Atomic Carbon one just arrived in the post to replace
