Tekin RS Pro with DESC410R

Has anyone here had success using a Tekin RS pro with the DESC410R. I'm asking because I have one in my DEX410 and it gets pretty close to overheating. I'm wondering if the extra weight of the DESC will push it over the edge.

I wouldnt reccomend running the RS in short course, RX8 is the way to go .

Hi RC John you say that the tekin rs pro gets close to overheating in the 410 has this ever caused you any big problems? Only asking because I'm thinking of putting it in my 410 v3.

he has the Short Course version of the 410, not the buggy version, hence the overheating!

No problems during a 6 min race, but I have had it thermal shutdown during practice. I cut an extra cooling vent near my ESC, and enlarged a few of the exsisting holes to help cool it. Since I've done that, I've not had a thermal shutdown, but I get very close according to the LED display on the ESC.

How many lights do you get at the end of a 5min run?

I run a DEX410 I've run an RSpro for sometime now. Appart from an issue when i first got it (that turned out to be the reciver!!) its never missed a beat. Ive never even had it close to thermal shutdown???

I run a 6.5t X12 on a 20T pinion?

Whats your motor/pinion setup?

Whats your motor/pinion setup?

I have a 6.5 Tekin, 23T pinion.
Our races are 6 mins, and with a warm up and cool down lap, it's more like 7 mins.
I normally get 5 LEDs after a race.
