Default Moving to Huntingdon, cambs. Where can I race micro off road (carisma gt14-b)?

As per title I'm moving to Huntingdon in late September / early october.

I set up a club in bracklesham racing micro's and 10th off road. Are there any clubs in the Cambridge - Milton Keynes area that race micro off road on a weekday evening?

Cheers

Ben

Leighton Buzzard used to race micros but im not 100% sure they do anymore.

That region is really in need of a decent micro club though, one that will apply for a Micro National in the future

Leighton just run mini's now chris.

I did look at putting a national together in bracklesham but we'd only just got the carismas by the closing date. A look at the rules shows our track is too small although the jumps fit the requirements and there is space in a separate room big enough for pitting.

Hopefully mattybucks new club will be a success and that venue may provide a national next winter. I will keep in contact with the bracklesham club to see if we could do a national at a bigger hall in the Chichester area next year.

Cambridge area may be possible with borrowed equipment.

I'm in Littleport and there is an excellent Indoor RC arena here however it's not BRCA and it's all Mardave and Mini's...I could have a word with the owner and investigate hiring it?...

I'd LOVE to get any form of indoor off-roading going in the North Cambs area. Stofold of course is an outstanding outside 1:10th track but it's over an hour away. I hosted a small club near Aberdeen..Had no timing or anything just a decent sized hall to run around.

I'd love to get involved with some Micro stuff... I don't have a GT14 though, At that scale I'm running a EXB-16 currently.. not quite as high spec as the GT14 but it's a neat little car was considering going brushless and making some carbon parts for it soon.

Anyway, I'd be interested in some Micro racing and bashing around.

It's the original LRP Shark/Fury chassis made by Himoto RC ...

However...the basic version of a Himoto EBX-16 is only £80 rtr and not £190 of the Shark etc

Great club car...

Sounds interesting if we could do a micro off road night.

I went to a mardave club in Bognor and was bored after a few minutes. Im really enjoying the challenge of jumps and surface changes.

So is this place a full time venue like ardent?

Yup it's 1:16th... they do a tiny 1:18th version too but that's hader to get hold of outside of China. There are also some excellent micro touring cars, Truggies and Monster Trucks for bashing based on the same chassis... Gadget box are the UK distributors. Himoto are the manufacturers for Maverick, Exceed etc etc...

And yes Littleport is a full time Permanent RC track, fully carpeted with pit rooms and balcony... It's owned and ran by the local Youth charity headed up by a great chap called Phil, they have full timing system installed and have all the facilitys including an RC shop inside the building. However like I said it's Mardave and was not BRCA affiliated the last time I went a couple of months ago. Littleport is open for racing on Wednesday for Adults and Monday and Friday for 9+

I have a Mardave but it bores me a little too hehe

Hello, I help run the YPL and would like to correct you as YPL Racing has been BRCA registered for over a year.
As it stands all the other information is correct, Pit rooms, tables, power points, RC shop, we also have a perminant Cafe selling hot food.
Unfortunatly due to lack of interest we may remove the CIRCUIT and reposition the OVAL track as very few TOURING racers come and use the circuit.

We run 1/10 off road on a Wednesday evening near Milton Keynes. Occasionally we get some micro's that run in with 1/10th, which your more than welcome to do.
