Default Motor Combo Advice - LRP/Tekin

Hello to all.

I bought a Factory Team B4.1 the other day and I am coming to the electrics part. At first I was just going to go for a Fusion Exceed system but my local place has an offer on some LRP stuff at the moment. They have the LRP SXX Version 1 for £130 and X12 motors for £60. SO that looked a decent set up worht saving for?

My question is - is the above set up of an SXX ESC and X12 motor equates to £190 - and the Tekin systems are only £201, is it worth spending an extra tenner on Tekin equipment or is the LRP set up going to be just as good?

Thanks

Tekin doesn't need fans, but to get the most out of it, you need to make friends with someone who has the Hotwire to update the software.

Hi. Thanks. I saw the page on their website http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire.html but it doesnt say how much. I guess it may be steep on an already expensive item. Hmmmm.

Just seen it on Modelsport. £28.49. Ouch.

But for off-road, there is mainly one setup, and the parameters that you may want to adjust, can be done onboard. If you bought an RS Pro, if you covered the return postage, I would happily flash the new firmware and set it up for you.

We stock Tekin, and would also be more than happy to update the firmware and set it up to what I run before despatch.

For info, I have run the same setup on my 2wd and 4wd for as long as I can remember, all I change is drag brake sometimes between the cars, and adjust the brake strength with the EPA on the transmitter.

JonyNitro

I was of that thought which is why I asked if the Tekin was worth the extra.

However - as per Mr Inside Line Racing - just looked on his site and the Tekin set up is actually cheaper than the LRP combo by £10. They seem to be doing it at £180 as opposed to over £200 elsewhere.

haha its such a minefield! LRP SXX V 1 at £190 or the Tekin now for £180 from Mr Inside Line. Choices Choices

Know what you mean, about what to go for hard, but Tekin only give 120 warranty, Lrp is forever, then if it breaks V1 9 times out of ten you get V2 back
