27mhz Am has always been popular in beginners or rtr type equipment . it has mostly been replaced by 2.4 ghz equipment
27mhz FM was popular at the top end of racing guys a few years ago when 40 mhz was also at its peak . it meant less xtal changes for those using 27mhz again it appears to be almost wiped out with the emergence of 2.4ghz i have a 27mhz FM set still i let my 9 year old daughter use it ![]() equipment appears to fetch very little these days regards dave |

I still use a Futaba megatech 3pj super for my bashing needs.
Running alone or with just a few friends, it works without a glitch ![]() For racing however, I use a 2.4ghz system..simply to avoid the hassle with crystals and you do reduce the chance of interference with a 2.4ghz system. |

Still on 27Mhz, when my ESPRIT II is worn out I'll go for 2.4. But so far no real problems with my27Mhz gear that I've been using for the last 8 years or so....

have a good few cars still on 27 meg, have never had any problems. still using 40meg for racing, except my 1/8 buggies which are on 2.4, just swap tx modules as needed. problem i have now is that my old 27am radio's are really well past it, just wish you could get 27am module for a 3vc, only seem to find fm ones. have 15 or so 27 meg receivers so i wont be changeing over anytime soon.
