If Neil cannot supply one do a search for Vapex, they do a good range, you may have to change the polatiry in the connector - and yes can still use original charger with nimh.

You can get 2x2x2 AA battery holders, which squeeze into the compartment. They are rare but available in the UK.

It's what I use.

Elliott.

I use the Vapextech one for my Gemini 2 and it works very well and does not cost very much. Vapextech 9.6V TX pack

Mine is £15.00 and uses Japanese Sanyo 1650mAh NiMH cells. The Vapex one is cheaper and higher capacity Chinese cells.

Mine will be more reliable and have better cycle life but it comes down to the cost / life equation.

What should these handsets read fully charged ? I picked up a second hand set and the battery voltage drops nearly 0.5volt in a 5 minute run.

These after market batteries, can they be charged with the standard handset charger ?

My DX3.0 drops around 0.1V per race, i charge mine (standard 2000mah AA's) at 1.5A on my race charger, never had a problem.
