Default Wheels?

Quick Q:

Does B4 front wheels fit on Ansmann cars (Mad Monkey)?

Bonus Q: Which wheels do fit on Ansmann Cars (Schumacher, Losi, other)?

Thanks in advance

Peter

They dont fit no, however if you drill out some AE steering blocks to 3mm and use them then you can run all your AE rims... Rears dont fit either but you can buy the AE rear cvds and axles...

Hope that helps!

Thanks for your replies.

Guess I'll stick with Ansmann wheels then

(Why does the others not fit?)

Cheers,
Peter

Ansmann use a 12mm hex fitting on their wheels, the other's don't, they either use bearings within the wheel or a smaller hex on the front and they also use a pin on the rear.

What did you change? They seem to go straight on and work for me.

nothing wrong mate, there good wheels, just to wide to fit stuff like stagger ribs, so you have to mod them to fit them properly.

B4 rear wheels do fit, you just take the hex off, i have ran them on my X2C, also losi rears fit but you need to use a serrated nut as they are thicker than the ansmann ones.

dont get the fastrax ones with the 12mm hex fitting, thet make the rear end 25mm wider and are very brittle.

I am wondering if woody is on about on the 4wd buggies as they use the imperial sized driveshafts that you get in the conversion kit to take Associated wheels. You need to drill holes out a bit to use kyosho ones on the x4pro and x4TE

On the 2wd they do go straight on though as I use them occaisionally.

TLR wheels can be made to fit with a bit of patience and a large drill bit

Borrego wheels will probably go straight on to.

+1

Ansmann or Kyosho fronts trimmed to suit staggerd ribs or as they are for spikes

And ansmann or Kyosho rears as they are or TLR rears with the hub of the wheel drilled slightly with a 9mm drill.

Michael

I got an offer on some used tires, but glued on B4 rims, so that why I asked.

Cheers,

Schumi cut staggers also fit the fronts - no cutting.

Yeah they will go straight on but they won't stay on with standard nuts as you won't have enough axle left to go into the nyloc on the nut.

Sorry guys, yes it was the 4wd I was talking about but if you tighten them up too much they will bind.
