Its a load of old cobblers that you have to rebuild the diffs after every race, though as the belt is exposed, dirt does tend to find its way into the rear diff.

If its dusty in the summer, I'll redo mine after 2 meetings, so far this year, its done 3 meetings and they don't need doing yet.

The BX is an awesome car, way better then the B44 I bought to replace it this year.

Vinny, you cant ask for advice and then tell someone they are wrong

It is his opinion thats all that matters.

The yokomo looks pretty and suits a couple of people but it seems to be handful for most and you never see them being run for this reason, when i came accross to off road i looked at them but was warned off and im glad i steered clear.

I would advise you do the same.

Driven both have you? I've got both sitting here and so far this year the B44 is one big huge disapointment.

Driven both back to back a few times and everytime the BX is faster, 3 runs at Eastrax with the B44, 17th overall, one run with the BX, with no set-up done it for the track, 6th, probably could've won the meeting if I'd run the BX all day.

The Yok goes where you want it to, and you know it ain't going to break when you cock it up, whereas the B44 is made of chesse.

Mine does have the one piece chassis on it from DC Racing though.

Then you talk about quality, the B44 is built like a TVR , the Yokomo is a Bugatti Veyron, complete with £5000 wiper stalks .

There isn't a problem with regard to quality of the parts, or the design, but you will need to rebuild the rear one a couple of times a month if you run where its dusty, as dirt does find its way down to the diff and sticks to the diff grease.

There is a new diff/belt cover thing coming out that should cut the need for this down alot, there is a topic on here about it, nice looking thing that fills the holes in.

Don't let the fact you need to clean it out more often then say a B44 put you off getting a Yok, its a fantastic car once you have a starting set up from Grant and Mike Williams as I did, just changed it a little to suit my track and driving style better

Its uber strong for one thing, so you don't need much in the way of spares

Smile Bx4

I have seen Johns Yok running and not much else comes close.
I am only a year back into off road & still struggling with set ups but my Yok has only broken one front wishbone & battery post but spent much of its track time flipping & rolling ,so stronger than all my Losi's & associated put together.
Diff rebuilds only after 3 or 4 meetings so not too bad.
