Hi guys, I've been running my 410R for a few months without any problems, cracking car. However, last week I noticed a small amount of black dust where the spur gear has worn slightly. On further investigation tonight, I've noticed that the spur gear is not turning true. I changed the spur gear but still had the same problem. I'm guessing its an issue with my slipper assembly, which I've stripped and rebuilt with no success.
I remember seeing a post a few months back re problems with the slipper clutch plates , could this be the problem? Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers, Rich. |

Why would you change the pads?
They alone will not make the spur run out of true. |

Cheers Dave, I'll pick up a new set of pads and think I'll change the rear plate. Wouldn't pads that have worn unevenly cause the slipper to run untrue?

The spur gears on these cars wobble from new, there was quite a lot of chat here on the subject some months ago. I along with others just let them run that way without any issues.
