What batteries are you using?
I'm using a speed passion ESC but we run unlimited. See if you can borrow a battery to test your set up.

Depends on a few things, first of all are you running a G2 motor or are you brushless, if G2 then the best ESC has to be the Speedmaster V60 or the same badged as the G28 from Mardave, there are others like the Novak, or the M Troniks, I have and am using the Oval version and have been for a while in my spare Mardave I have a G28 in my other car, helps to have an adjustable handset though, i.e. end point adjustment etc. Also if you are running a G2 the maintanence of your cells can also play a big part, set up of the car can play a big part also, more cormer speed and faster on the throttle can maake a big difference.

Not too sure if that will make much difference, as the current batch of G2's are the most consistent yet, not much variation from one motor to the next, another consideration is the gear ratio, how hot or cold is your motor after a race, cold after a race will suggest you are under geared, very hot and you are geared too high, aim for somewhere in the middle as these motors do not like to be hot! And keep away from com drops again these motors do not like the stuff, just install the motor and oil the bearings every meeting, try a different motor, but I think it will not alter your problem, equalize your cells and cycle them, and if possable try a different esc, and I bet the motor you take out will be ok in a different car, try this and it will rule out a duff motor,

Do you have an adjustable handset? Have you set it to the ESC? EPA?

Strange gear ratio there, for oval racing on a small oval I run something like 11/50 or 12/50 and for circuit racing on a very small track i run 12/50 or something like 13/52 gearing suited to the motor and track, and a large circuit that is flowing not many slow corners run something like 14/50 or 15/50,
so0 get out you gear chart and find a gear ratio, another thing that affects the gear ratio is the size of you tyres, large ones run a tooth smaller on the pinion and as they wear down go up a tooth.
And to avoid confusion I am talking about standard Mardaves running a G2 motor powered by Nimh cells. 4 cell and not 6
