Don't worry! We know there will be some people not at EWS but we will put the info up on facebook and my Twitter account (@RCRacingOli) throughout the day.

You won't miss anything, don't worry!

In case anyone missed our announcement over the weekend.....

The team that brings you the Essex Winter Series is proud to announce that on the 17th-19th February 2012 we will be hosting a very special race meeting. The Memorial Cup will be a race put on in rememberance of two pioneers of the sport we lost in the past year, Ted Longshaw and Mike Reedy.

I'm sure you've all read plenty about these two amazing individuals and their contributions to R/C Car racing. Quite simply put, without their ideas and dedication, we would not have the structured racing we have today.

We've still got lots to work on for the event so we will be making annoucements over the coming weeks, but we're already speaking to a number of big name national and international drivers who are planning on attending.

In case you haven't seen the videos from EWS at the weekend, here's a video of one of the A Finals so you can see the size of the track. For the Memorial Cup we will be using the full size of the hall to increase the pitting space available. http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http...fZLSJgBFr5Gc4A

Stay tuned for more info, or feel free to ask any questions here!

We've got a website up for the race now. We've still got a few last bits to work out but it's all progressing nicely.

We have been amazed at the support we've received for this meeting - both from drivers looking to attend and from manufacturers and distributors backing what we're doing as a fantastic way to honour those we have lost but contributed so much to our hobby.

The website is www.MemorialCup.co.uk and lists all the key details for the race. If you've got any questions, feel free to send them through to us using the contact form on there!

We hope to see lots of you in February!
