Default Newbie Advice

Looking to run a "proper" racing car this year, I currently use a hopped up DF-03.

I quite like the look of the atomised cars, but know very little about them or the set ups / hop ups required

Considering buying a B44 kit and S44 conversion. What other things should I look to buy at the same time?. Unfortunately i work overseas so don't get the chance to buy parts on a regular basis so looking to get a really good set up "out of the box"

Any advice on this package would be appreciated. How would this set up compare to a B4/S4 conversion?

I would advise...

An Associated NTC3 front one way diff, silver rear springs, not sure on front springs.
Oh and a super paint job cos the 'S44'/'Atomized B44' shell is LUSH

No doubt the more experienced drivers of this car will post and help you out

To be honest there are no hop ups that you need to get once you have your B44 kit and your choice of Atomic Carbon convertion parts. The Atomic Carbon options are all listed on www.atomic-carbon.co.uk

The only real choice you have to make is whether to run the Kit B44 shocks or Losi ones (which all the team drivers use) If you want to run Losi ones you'd need the following parts

1 LOSA5045 Shock Pistons #57, Black
1 LOSA5046 Shock Pistons #56, Red
1 LOSA5047 Shock Pistons #55, Orange
1 LOSA5048 Shock Pistons #56, Blue
2 LOSA5060 Shock Shaft,.6" Ti-Nitride
4 LOSA5015 Double O-Ring Shock Cartridge
1 LOSA5054 Threaded Shock Body Set .6"
1 LOSA5056 Threaded Shock Body Set 1.2"
2 LOSA5064 Shock Shaft,1.0" Ti-Nitride
2 x LOSA5023 Shock spring cups
1 x LOSA5013 Shock mount bushings
1 x LOSA2006 Swivel balls

Along with Silver, Green and Blue front springs and yellow, pink and Red rear springs.

Other than that as Cosie says an NTC3 one way is about the only option you will ever need, but thats down to personal preferance and your driving style, some of the team drivers use them and others don't.

I think thats everything but no doubt someone will come up with something else.

C0sie not sure where you got silver rear springs from? if using AE shocks then yes, but on the Losi shocks they are seriously stiff

I was thinking from an AE shocks point of view

Forgot to ask, where would be the best/cheapest place to get the Losi shock parts from?
