I've gone through probably 50 packs, or more (maybe 100), running all summer on my original ones and they're still fine. And yours is the first instance I've heard of it anywhere online. Is it possible you're overtightening the wheelnuts and putting extra load on the bearings?

Run mine for a complete season, in some of the most evil conditions, still like new, if you look after them ......
