Default how many washer on B44.1' diff

Hello,
How do you adjust the mechanical setting of the diff b44.1? How you put washers on each side?
Allow yourself one of backlash (between-tooth) or are they tightening?
thank you

Adjust the tightness of the diff action in the transmission with the screw in the centre of the outdrive...adjust in small increments, 1/4 turns maybe...

Adjust the fit of the diff assembly in the diff housing with shims, making sure there's no sideways movement of the diff outdrives in the diff housing, but it's not so tight that it binds. put the shims on the side that pushes the diff onto the crown gear. Can be quite a few, think I have 4-6 shims on mine...but does depend how new the mouldings/gears are.
