Default Practice Track?

Afternoon all

Does anyone know of any practice tracks in the uk, obviously their are a load of club meets and races to enter but as a newb i was hoping their might be somewhere you could just turn up pay your money and run as long as you wanted in order to perfect some of the driving skills without everything that comes with race day etc.

We offer practice days at RHR, its North Nottinghamshire/South Yorkshire area.

ejw,
are you thinking of on-road or off-road?
there are a couple of clubs in beds, (i'm from leighton buzzard).
on-road there is leighton buzzard model car club who meet on a tues evening at brooklands middle school and do touring cars and tamiya mini's.

off-road, there is stotfold outdoor astro track, they will be starting their sunday series soon
Telstar have just started indoor at deanshanger near milton keynes on a wednesday evening, this sunday is first round of winter series.

Stotfold is the only permanent track but dont allow practice other than club nights.

I know that these 3 clubs are more than friendly with newbie's and more than helpful.
these are the only 3 clubs i'm aware off but sure there are a couple more in the beds area.

If you are a member at Coventry the track's are open for practice every day until 7pm / dusk (unless racing or work party).

At stotfold, we run race days every sunday, booking in at 1.30 racing starting at 2 with people turning up for practice from about 11am

new drivers are more than welcome, we are a very friendly club with loads of friendly drivers to help you out.

we do run a winter series on the 3rd sunday of Oct, Sept, Dec, Feb and march. but outside of these dates
racing is every sunday.

If you are doing off road 1/10th then pop along.

also you can go to Herts Nitro club in Ware, there track is open every day, you just pay in the model shop and can use the track all day, but you must be a BRCA member.

both of these tracks are good for anybody in beds.

This is kind of why I was asking about location. Members of kidderminster can use the track whenever they wish, but it's a bit far from Beds.
