Default Novak GTB Cap!

Hi, i ran my touring car tonight on a 10.5 novak and it seems slow. In the manual it suggests that a cap can be the source of the problem but at a tenner i would like to make sure. The gearing, cars transmission etc are all fine but it didn't feel like it has tonight

Do the caps pack in alot and should be treated as a consumable part? or am i just way off track

thanks, john

I have had a few caps go, and they tend to have brown sticky stuff running out of them when they do.

If the cap is gone, you will experience very little torque, and then full power, with nothing inbetween.

Do not run your speedo without a cap, as this will break it.

As a precaution, I use two caps wired in parallel, so if one fails, I wont lose power. I think this probably is overkill, but I hate it when a car lets you down.
