Default C4.1 & B4 NEW Steering Weight by RudeBits

The C4.1 is nearly here for all you keen racers but much testing has been going on by Team Associated over the past months. We made this weight for Paul Bradbey and Neil Cragg and testing has been very succesfull. The weight is designed to sit under the steering mechanism as to achieve weight forwards but not over the front axle that can slow the cars reactions down. Available from www.RudeBits.co.uk in a few days....
Obviously we make many more weights that are compatible with the C4.1 so have a little navigation through our website

Thumbs up RudeFuture! ;)

Brilliant..RudeBits with another great product. I especially like how Tony is moving towards creating weight products that can be integrated into and around the mechanics of the buggy Innovative and always well produced, look forward to trying this when my C4.1 is alive

Matt yours is in the post too mate!

In a Vega? Well I have one here for Lewis too and yes it will help because under the steering that is further forward a lot less is needed than lets say under the servo, hence it's nice size.
Lets face it at this money it's worth a shout

Just tried installing mine to my b4.1 Vega, and unless I'm being incredibly stupid, it simply does not fit.

Has this part actually been tried on the 4.1 Vega?

When fitted with the 'extra' bit downwards, and the 14g label on top, the 'extra' bit fouls on the chassis. It does this which ever way round it is fitted (ie. extra to the front or extra to the back).

Tony?

Hi all,
It is clear that this part originally was designed for the C4.1 as tested and used by Paul Bradbey, Neil Cragg etc etc and of course the part is based on the B4 steering used by so many buggies out there. Dave Burton used and tested on a B4 and Ellis has one for his X6. Actually even Lewis has one for his B4 Vega. Opps!!
A massive error on my part assumed that it will naturally fit the B4 based Vega too. Unfortunately it doesn't. To make fit it needs to be filled some 4mm per side to actually fit inside the slick narrow chassis of the B4/B4.1 Vega.
Obviously gents this is my error and I apologise for assuming it fits all B4 steering mechanisms. Well it does do that but doesn't fit inside the Vega chassis. Anyone that has bought one specifically for a B4 Vega requires a refund then that goes without saying that all you have to do is email me - [email protected] - There might be some of you that wants us to adjust it to fit the chassis and we can do that too. Again please email me.
I can only apologise gents - it must be an age thing
