Default XXCR Astro Setup

Don't suppose people have any starting setups for astro?

Tyres sorted and I have an idea for shocks etc.

Cheers Dave

Will then work out the other aspects.

It's been a while since I raced her! 7.5 Orion VST going in and prob racing the XXCR at the F345s if I get an entry.

Try this

Front
35 wt oil
'556' piston
green spring
0.060" limiter in shock
outer hole on wishbone no 2 on tower
30 deg castor

Rear
30 wt oil
'556' piston
pink spring
0.060" limiter in shock
start with the inner hole on wishbone and no 2 on the tower
camber link 7 - B

If you have the parts to try it I allways thought the standard xx rear end was better than the CR conversion.

25 degree castor blocks will be ok, it will just turn in a little better with a bit less steering on the way out, more driver preference really.
If you've got a hydradrive for it i'd give that a try in practice, i'm not sure how well it will work with brushless mototrs but it should help to settle the car over the bumps.

Surely Mr S Brown will give you a good setup for it.

I haven't been to Torch but try the same setup, if it's very bumpy you can try orange pistons and keep the same oil. Did you try the hydradrive? They really help to settle the car over bumps.

Wasn't 100% sure on the parts, so I left it as is.

Not sure yet, it's either the XXCR or my 511 lol
