Default Karting

Just a thought.
I race at Lawford Buggy club (www.lawfordbuggyclub.co.uk) and we also have a Karting championship.
This has been very popular in the last two years and I was wondering if this could be expanded to a team race where individual club clubs entered as many teams as they wished.
An example race format could be:- six hour endurance max 6 drivers in a team.
Please add your opinions to this thread

Hi Steve, interesting idea.
Where are you thinking of staging it so people can guage distance? Any ideas on Price?
I think the 6 hours may be a bit much. I've done 2.5 hour endurance races with a team of 4 and 40 mins in a Kart is enough for someone who doesn't use them regularly. You certainly feel it the next day!

maybe 3-4 hours with a team of 5-6. depends how far some people are travelling. if it's 2 hours each way then a 6 hour race becomes a long day!

Jim
At this stage I have no idea on price or venue, although your comment on the amount of time per stint is valid
I just thought I would float the idea here and see what the response was
