Default Quick setup questions...

Just want some up-to-date opinions here...

I've rebuilt my kyosho fs. It has a orca 7.5 t with 21 pinion for stock spur. I have also installed a ko propo servo and a ko propo speedo.

Now...

1) the back end swings out. I already have a roll bar installed only on the rear. Do I need to add weight? If so, roughly how much?

2) have you guys got any tips to ensure lipos are snug in the compartments? I'm using intellect lipos.

Ta

regarding the batteries, I've not had a problem with them being loose, but the new battery retainers that screw on look like they would be good for the job.

need a bit more info about your setup problem, but i would remove the rollbar, i dont normally run with run unless its high grip.

Yes ive seen the batt posts but they seem costly...

I have built to factory settings.

I am using 30wt rear and 35wt front with pale yellow sPrings all around.

Scuhey yellow compounds all around.

The tail end just swinged out on almost full power as I steer into a wide corner. This was during a brief test on a lino surface. I intend to run indoor/carpet/maybe astro aswell.

I may adjust the speedo though../

ok, well my basic setup is:

Front - piston 2c , oil Kyosho 350 , silver spring
rear - piston 3a , oil Losi 27.5 , spring Cobalt

middle holes front and rear for top shock positions, middle buttom on the front and inside on bottom on the rear

I'd say see how it goes on your normal racing surface first

Well I won't get too fidgety for now....reading setup nightmares of tail ends swinging out!

I will try first on my preferred surfaces and take it from there..

Check the diffs are working as they should .. not slipping but not tight either (front slightly tighter than rear).

Also the car is very sensitive to slipper adjustments.

Default hi

thanks for that..

I tightened the slipper to almost max and the rear diff!!

I thought that's what I should do on a high traction surface anyhow..

you can run the diff a lot looser than you think, especially with the slipper set quite loose...helps keep everything nice and smooth round the track
