I don't have my B4 to take a picture of right now but no shell's will clear the fan if you mount it on top of the speedo.

I have my fan mounted just in front of the speedo blowing toward the back of the car, the wire on the fan is just about long enough. With it mounted like this it should go under every shell

What car are you running?
If it's a b44 then get a Exotek mako 44 shell, nice high sides, i am running a novak gtb with a bigger fan & it clears it no probs
Shell is available from DMS

If it's the b4 then you should be ok without a fan on the esc, but if you want to be safe then run one as rich suggests
If it's the b44 then you shouldn't have any issues with during a fan

Its the b4..in fact i think James is on about my b4, and I like to run a fan.

Currently have a bull dog shell that fits everything under the shell nicely

I know one shell has bn designed with the lump to accomoate a fan but unsure if its being made in Europe, i think maybe borders of Russia. However i took my fan off and glued it to the chassis next to the esc and was acceptable in keeping my esc cool.
