Default B Max4 II

I'm returning to RC cars after a long while, and I can't decide between the new B Max4 II or the Durango, I dont want to pay the extra for the factory version yet so just the standard one, and both kits are about the same price. But does the new B Max4 II standard version come with the same Li Po ready chassis as the factory kit? It would seem strange if they were different, especially as most people seem to be running Li Po batteries these.
I think the B Max will be better as from I can tell it is more forgiving and less twitchy/easier to set up than the Durango, although the Durango looks pretty solid.
Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK what makes a Bmax II a II and not a regular Bmax is the chassis and the cab forward shell. All other features on the basic version appear to be the same. The FT version seems to have gained a new motor mount and new driveshafts as well, but these aren't in the base version

However, the new chassis isn't really any more or less 'lipo friendly' than the old one - it just lacks cell cut-outs but has a cut out for the motor instead. In all practical terms its the same.

It seems that CML won't be importing the B Max II into the UK (just found out). Now trying to find out if they are still doing the 2009 version, and at what cost.

Default B max4 II

Hi, i just got my Bmax4 II from Japan and just finished building it. Version II has got the chassis, the motor mount and the new drive shafts. The normal version does come with the shell but apart from that, it is the same as the old one. The new chassis is better for lipos as it has the lugs to hold the lipos in place. To be honest, i think you would be better trying to get yourself a tidy version I FT.

As for the Durango, it is a great car but i sold mine to go back to a B max but that is just my preference. I'm a massive Yokomo fan tho......

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Dave
