there may be an updated car in the works but nothing has been presented. the car fits lipos with no problem. and is destroying the competition all over the world. NiMah don't let a picture deter you.

I have this car and confirm that Lipos are not a problem. My Bionic 5000mAh 40c fill the battery compartment so that there is no room to use the weight distribution element of moving the battery back or forward an inch, but other than that you would think the battery tray was made for Lipo, it fits perfect.

Ah I get you now....

I know what you are saying, there is nothing more frustrating than something being out of date as soon as you buy it!!

There is no "NEW" car planned but I would be very suprised if there isn't an update or 2 after the worlds.

Based on previous experience they will be offered for a limited period as a conversion set then as individual bits followed a fair distance down the line by them being included in a new "kit" (SP3 probably).

I would have no concernd buying an RB5-SP2 kit today, in fact I very recently did!
