Default Racer Mag's Schumacher CAT SX3 live build!

RC Racer magazine have another 'live build' on the go - this time the new Schumacher CAT SX3 gets the treatment as Racer go over the car with a fine tooth comb.

Take a look at the build on the RACER website here:

Lightbulb Remarkably similar

I had a look at the live build...

On reflection, the cat sx3 looks remarkably similar to the yokomo bx I'm rebuilding - maybe more refined! I guess schuey have not redesigned the wheel with this one. I am not sure how the sx and sx2 compare though as I have no experience with these.

Ball raced spur gear!! About bloody time!! Wonder how many people have had to bodge, codge and cobble their old slipper to stop it melting the middle out on the sx and sx2!!

My cat spur gear has never had any probs.
Raced in lots of heats but never lots of heat... if you get my meaning

Think the SX3 is exactly what it says on the tin - the next revision for the Cat SX.
Going mid engined is ok i guess. For me, I think the big advantage seems to be the better weight distribution.

Looking forward to racing it.
