darryl, after many forrays into truck racing in the 90's it all came down to batteries, to last you had to put something mild in, and then the whole idea of trucks was lost. Now, with a pack of 37's in a truck, I reckon you could run some silly wind in there and rag the bitch round the track.
When I ran Academy cars, got given a truck for a laugh, and a few of us used them indoors, was ace, so much grip and the tyres squealed round the corners. But for trucks, you need to have some serious jumps on there, flat tracks are boring.

hell yes trucks are back... lol...
still got my xxt which has only seen a bit of bashing (such as jumping 20ft doubles at the bmx trails) but i really want to race it.. good to see the lads at southport gettin em. I'd totally be up for racing them the odd day at southport or bury.... Think baz and the lads have got brushless in which i think is the way to go with trucks :-D Think i'll bring the xxt down to bury on sunday :-D tires are shagged though... |

Im keen to race trucks, ive done it before and it was ace, but it never caught on and I sold it.
I ran a T4 with a 10x2 in and 3300's, it was f'ing awesome and when I was allowed to race against buggies - I was miles faster!!!!! At a fun day I put an 8x2 in, and the truck could take it, it lasted 5 minutes and was insane. The wheel couldn't take it though and I mangled the drive pin locator. maybe I should have let the slipper do something. :afro: :safe: |

yeah i'd love to have a go at trucks again. shame you guys are so far up north though!
if there ever was a truck meeting organised (that didn't clash with a 4wd meeting) i'd definatly be up for it.
