Default Turn Power Reverse Into Throttle??

By the way im new at all this stuff.

So i bought a ESC to go with my new 10T motor in my Mad Rat.
I relised it was a Power Reverse and goes extremely fast backwards, but forwards is kinda ... disapointing.

My friend at work says that you can change it so it has power on the throttle instead of the reverse.

Its the Nosram Magnum Power Reverse
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/nosram-m...products/33346

It has no set up buttons at all

all help will be nice

I think you misunderstand what "power reverse" means, no speedo is intended to go faster in reverse.

This is an auto-setup model, so the first thing you do when you switch on should ALWAYS be full throttle, and the second thing you do should ALWAYS be full brake, because that is how the ESC sets itself.

If it still runs incorrectly, read the manual again and check that you have all the wiring correct and the transmitter settings correct. It may need the throttle to be reversed.

well it says on the packet/manual when i got it that in revers it has revers, and then a power reverse that happens for 6 seconds when activated, and that is defiantly reversing as you can tell of the 6 second burst of speed it gets

i changed the motor leads around and well the leads got totally hot and melted the protective plastic around the connectors on the wire, didnt seem to do much difference. Ill try setting the servo to reverse on the transmitter the next time i go out thanks

I don't know why I bothered answering your question to be honest if this is your attitude. I read the manual for your speedo and there is no mention of the 6-second power reverse feature, so either you are mistaken or you are deliberately trying to BS me to prove a point. Which begs the question of why you are asking for help.

I have the same/similar problem with my LRP A.I. Pro Reverse ESC, all 3 wires were plugged A-A, B-B, C-C and even tried swapping them around "BUT" never tried full throttle and full brakes on start up yet so will give that a go

cheers

im not a bad attitude guy

i know it has no mention of it on the site, but in the manual/box i could of sworn i saw it say something like "and for 6 seconds you will have a exra reverse speed"
I may have miss read it, but however if its not meant to be doing that, then mine is haha

once again im sorry the anwser came over that i had bad attitude i was just comparing notes with you

Going to switch the 2 wires round again, hopefully it wont melt the protective plastic again, because there barley any left :')
