Default LiPo cell mAh help

i was wondering if the mAh on the LiPo batteries is similar to that of the NiCad ones where the more Amps you have the longer it will last

Yes, that's my understanding, all batteries are the same in this respect. lipo's have a output C number so you see (what they claim) how quickly that power can be delivered.

We used to love our old 2000mAh nicad's but now with lighter 5000mAh lipo's we can run more than twice as long.

mAh is it's capacity, the C rating is a current rating.

So, a 5500mAh pack will last longer than a 4500mAh pack.

And a 45c 5500mAh pack will have more punch than say a 5500mAh 40c pack.
