Default New Chassis idea, feedback requested.

Ok so i have seen that there are guys running the t4 chassis on the b4 to carry forward the theme of long 2wd cars.
So although already being thought about by someone i'm sure. Has anyone looked at or tried fitting the x60 chassis to an x6?

Then taking a silly idea and running with it, would there then be room to run a stick pack, either full size or the losi 3/4 pack down the length keeping more of the weight in the centre line?

Then if somone wanted to make this for the buggy it could be made narrower and a very pretty new shell put on top?

So having put this forward any chance of a freebee? (only joking Darren)

I believe all the buggy stuph will fit on a truck chassis. You'll have a problem with the body.

We have experimented with longer chassies, and on some tracks they do help. We've never done one as long as a truck before, usually just a few mm longer.

Happy to sell you a truck chassis! I think D.M.S. has 'em.

As a guideline, in my B4.1 with T4 chassis the changes I made were cells forward, more rear toe in and shorter wheelbase on the hub... might not be same for X6 to X6XL.

Thanks Chris, love the name idea how about XL6...
I can see the need to not go to mad with the extra length by keeping the hub positions in the short wheel base positions. I think starting with 5 degree toe and working in from there, so using a 4 degree block and 1 degree on the hubs.

Thanks Paul the shell will be interesting to play around with if i remember right the extra length of the chassis comes at its widest point so i will chop a standard shell to be getting on with and if it works i will sculpt a plug for a new shell. I am also working on a slightly more wing forward mount for the rear.

Jim, yep i love a bit of tinkering but i think i can do this without the dremel....
