Default speedpassion v3 13.5t with hw xtreme esc

I've just myself the above combo to run in my touring car. I've now got an idea for the setup for the xtreme but not sure on timing for the motor.

I've read that the sp motors need to be run at full timing otherwise they are slow?

Is this true, any help will be great, last thing i wan to do is cook the motor at my first meeting!

Thanks for yor help!!

Yep endbell timing on full for the SP v3 or it'll be dog slow.

You need a temperature gun to run brushless motors to their maximum, while not risking blowing them. Any time you change motors or ESCs, go to a new track or try a major ESC setting change, you should:

Do a 2 minute run and check the temp.
Do a 4 minute run and check the temp.
Do a 5 minute run and check the temp.

After 5 minutes you want the SP motor to be 70 degrees or below. If any of the intermediate checks are getting close to 70, you need to reduce the timing settings before doing longer runs.
