You can indeed charge 2 x 2s packs at the same time. Firstly they have to be wired in series, e.g, one live + and one negative - joined together and then the remaining + and - go to the charger leads. The only issue which can easily be overcome is the balance port issue as you have two plugs consisting of 3 wires.

You can either make a balance lead adapter, or join both packs together permanently and fitting a 4s balance plug.

If you need a diagram on how to wire up either balance lead just ask and ill send you one across.

Hope this helps.

Firstly, will you be joining the 2 packs together permanently and using just 1 balance connector, or will they be separated at times so an adapter lead would be better?

A quick google scan brought up a nice diagram. You will need to purchase 2 x female 2s balance connector and 1 male 4s connector, then simply solder together and shrink.

The plugs can be found on ebay very cheaply.

Whats the wattage of your charger, as with mine, I can max charge a 2S at 5A, I can set a 4S at 5A but will only ever reach 3.2A.

Yes you need a charger with quite a high wattage, a lot are only 50/60 watts.

As you say a 2s pack @ 5amps is about 37 watts, so a 4s would require a 100 watt charger to be safe and reach 5 amps. I charge 2 x 3s packs as 1, 6s pack @ 5amps but I had to get a decent charger (protek 106B - 250 watts).
