Default X6 Wishbones

Hi

I need to replace the rear wishbones on the secondhand X6 I bought as there seems to be a fair bit of play in the inner pivot hole due to wear.

I only seem to be able to find graphite ones. Is this right, do they only come in graphite or can I get plastic/composite ones in the same way the B4 parts come in a choice of materials?

Cheers

Rob

If you have an original X - 6, I suggest at least 2 pr. of 3010 rear arms. I think D.M.S. still has them -- they got a good batch in their last order. We sold our last pair last week; they have been out of production for more than two years now because the mold requires much work to make even half-way decent ones, so that is the end.

The newer 3012 arms fit perfectly, but you must convert to the 1310 bulkhead and 3313 shock tower to keep the identical geometry.

As Toby says, all X Factory arms are graphite. All towers are now CF.

Thanks all.

Have ordered the 3012s as I am fairly sure the ones on my car are non handed so must be these. (DMS have a couple of e-mails though with me changing my mind) Problem with second hand cars - never quite sure what you have!!

Do you have a 1-piece chassis? If so, = 6 Squared. If you have a front nose piece on the chassis held on by four bolts, = original X - 6.

There were several upgrades released along the way and an original X - 6 can have one or more of them. There was the switch from 3-Gear to 4-Gear. The switch from one-piece molded rear tower to two-piece bulkhead & CF tower. All of these will fit onto an original X - 6.

All Squareds have a one-piece chassis, 4-Gear, bulkhead & CF tower, and straight non-handed rear arms.
