Default Grit getting to diff outdrive bearings...

This is on my TT EB4 S2 1:8 buggy.

As shown below, where you can see the grit gets in through the gap between outdrives & diff casing and has worn the outdrives.



After every race meeting i'm having to remove the diff, try to remove as much grit as i can from either side of the bearings before re-assembling.

Is this normal or a) is there simply a larger gap than normal allowing the grit to get in or/and b) Is there a way of minimising how much grit gets in ?
