X4 team edition set up

Shocks
Front
Kit Pistons, 30wt losi kit springs Mounted Middle on tower inner on wishbone
Rear
Kit Pistons 20wt Losi Kit springs Mounted Middle (inner if you want a bit more side bit) on tower and Inner on wishbone.

Camber Link

Front Inner on tower, no washers under outer ballstud (not cut)

Rear Inner on tower and outer on hub.

Wheelbase - Long

Camber 1 degree all round.

Ride hight - set as normal. Rear whishbones level Front slightly lower

Weight under the lipos

Anything else just ask. This is what I ended up with after my first run with the car, so may be tweeked in the coming weeks, but was quick enough to put a time that would have put me in the A at the last regional (if I had have had a better score to go with it)

Andy, I see that you have an x2c too. Do you have any astro setup to share for this car ? I tried a Losi 22 yesterday and I'm sure I can get more grip in middle speed turns with my TC02C.
Thank you.

My x4pro setup is the same as andy's with just a couple of tweaks.

25wt losi oil in the front,i dont run big bores,so i have a 2mm spacer under the piston to reduce droop,as the normal shocks make the front of the car ride to high.

60g of weight along the chassis spine between the lipo's

So which version of the car you run were finding the setups to be very similar

My X2C starting set up.

Front

Kit pistons 25wt losi oil, silver assocated springs.
Middle on tower and inner on wishbone.
Camber link outer at wheel and inner on tower raised 1-2mm depending on how quick you want it to turn in.
Camber 1 degree

Rear

Kit pistons 20wt losi oil, silver assocated springs
Middle on tower and inner on wishbones
Camber link outer upper on hub and lower position on tower.
Camber 1 degree
Weight minimum 100g under the lipo.

Make sure the servo saver is locked up ( mine is glued)

If you have just got the kit with no hot ups then this is definatly the set up I would suggest. Car was quick enough to place mid B at the last round of the mid west regionals.

Thank you Andy. I don't have asso springs, but I'll try some of your settings. We have a regional next week (my first with a 2WD car), I'll keep you in touch with my results. Ben44, watch your back

Well with this set up you can get away with running the kit springs on the front. I don't know what springs you have available but either kyosho yellow or losi yellow will work just as well on the rear.

I have the standards springs delivered with the kit.
The main thing I see in your setup is the position of the rear camber link on the bulkhead. What is the purpose of lowering it ?
