I have a dx3s and have large hands, I have decided that Ill wrap it in handlebar tape so it fits a little better in my hand and match the skin I have on it.
After doing this I noticed that the trigger gets stopped short of full throttle as the tape is thicker. I havent tested if there is a difference with full throttle on the eletric and or nitro cars that it runs. Do i fix this with travel? Meaning that the trigger doesn't have to move as far and hopefully not have to go all the way in to achive full gas. Anyone else do this and found that the distance that the trigger is then moved too little and will it be a lot more sensitive... Will the radio still register it as a full motion even when the distance travelled is less Hopefully Im clear enough to make sense to someone |

I believe there are set steps (I can't remember how many). So by reducing the amount of physical travel on the trigger, you will be minimising the steps available. With this in mind, it will mean it is more sensitive as each step will increase more per step than with full travel available.
If you have reduced your triggers physical travel by (for example) 10%. Increase your throttle adjustment to 112%. This should mean that you will hit 100% of normal throttle at about 90% of physical travel. - ish. Or could you not cut a small line in the tape, allowing the trigger to physically travel the full distance.

Wouldn't I have to reduce the throw not increase it?
Is reducing it minimizing the distance it has to travel, so will 112% be too much shouldn't it be 78 instead I presumed that it would gain sensitivity I think Ill do it with the brake as well as Id rather have less throw with that |
