Default My 1st 'proper' paint job

Hi Guys,

Below are a few pics of my first attempt at painting a bodyshell with an airbrush and liquid mask.

There are quite a few errors (esp where i put the drop shadow on the wrong side of the flame!) but overall i'm pretty chuffed!

The main mistake was racing in 2 meetings before taking any pics!

Looks good, Unlikely people would notice the shadow if you hadn't mentioned it, and certainly unlikely to be noticed on the track.

Also, I think being two meetings old and battered, shows how well he prepared the shell, and the durabillity of the paints he used!

You're probably bang on the money regarding the prep work!
I thought i did ok tbh, I washed the shell thoroughly using washing up liquid and dried it with a lint free towel, letting it dry out properly. I also applied heat from my GF's hair drier between coats!

Very much doubt its the paint, as i know its good stuff!

Dave

ps, one of the race meetings was indoors at quite a bashy club!!

PSML!!! In the words of my favourite 3ft tall green filmstar, "There are no bashy clubs, only bashy drivers". "Teach you I will..."
