Had my 2nd hand durango for just over a week now and after a quick tuesday night race at southend mcc-in which 1st time out and not even set up just put out as i got it,it won by a lap which i thought was really good seeing though i aint even ran there before..
any way when i got home i noticed that there was which looks like oil coming from the front diff,i looked in the manual and it doesnt state what oil is in it?... ive had a look on the durango set up sheets for southport and everyone is using 7000wt oil in the back diff but allsorts of weight in the front......any help to which would be a good starter weight for the front? my driveing style is really flowy and i aint really agressive on the throttle i just keep it going and tend not to stop and start to much. apart from that im really pleased with the car..

12,500 front and 7000 rear seems to be a good balance for me (mediocre racer) in the dry (Southport). I've not raced it in the wet yet but I am prepared to change to 5000 front and 2000 rear if and when the rains come down.

Personally I run 20k and 10k, for me it's calmed the car down a lot, makes it super smooth.

New to RX buggies, and Nitro, and 3 diffs. Can someone please explain the idea behind different weight oils in the diffs so I know how to tune my car in the respect of understanding what heavier and lighter oils do.
Thanks |

Quincy, after having been through 400 some odd pages in the Durango thread over at **tech I can tell you most people seem to be running Justin Salerno's setup wich requires 10000f and 5000r. I'm running his setup but with 7000 and 3000. It works great for me so far on a medium bite track (IRCR). Good luck
