Default Lipo Noob

Hi, i am thinking about changing my LRP shark to lipo's now but i dont have a clue what im looking for, i am running Tekin Mini Rage brushless esc and 6.9kv motor.

I have been looking at getting a few of these, Overlander 2s lipo 2200mah 7.4 25c

but what i dont understand is what is the other connector on it for (not the battery connectors) and do i need to plug that in to the charger same time i am charging the pack up.

any help is great for this lipo noob

Hi
You need to use a dedicated lipo charger, most balance at the same time that is what the other lead and plug is for,but its not essential it does help to keep lipos balanced
Overlander make great batteries, just make sure they will fit in, as that capacity are usually quite big, I use these because there small, punchy and cheap

Default lipo

Most of the sharks I have seen running are using the 800mah lipo packs. they only cost about a tenner a pack so are a bargain and last for 5 minutes easy with power to spare. Think EMS keep these.

You will need a li-po charger with either an external charging board or one with a built in balance port but with both you still have to connect the main battery leads as well as the balance port lead for a balanced charge.

Hope this helps.
