Default Esc plugs question

Hi all

I want to move my car over to having those 4mm connectors which plug straight into the lipo. Are there any specific ones that people use to get the L-shape effect seen here

or is it just when you use the heatsink?

Cheers

Default connectors

These connectors are known as 'corally' connectors as they were the first to produce them. They are now made by many different companys - some are better than others.

The ones you need are made by Yeah Racing and possibly some other makes, these have a hole in the side so you can put the wire in there or just solder to the top of the cup at right angles and then heatshrink over the whole lot.

I have a bag of them if you need 1 or 2 pairs, pm me

If you can't get any just dremel a nice u shaped hole in the side of the the top of a normal 4mm connector and offer the tinned wire into the top of your groove as you solder it, might need heat to pursuade it in, works perfectly, holds the wire nicely as you finish the joint Don't forget to put the heatshrink on the wire first and cut a little v shape into the heatshrink so it fits well, and make sure the heatshrink is far enough down the wire so the heat doesn't get to it as you do the joint

Muchmore do a couple of nice ones that allow side access...

These ones can go in from the side or the top.

These ones wire from the side but have a low profile which makes the install easier on some cars.
