Default 502x v's 511

I know the 502x has not been out for long. I'm not after a shaft/belt debate, and I have not owned a 511.

I want to know if anyone has both could give a run down on initial impressions of the 502x. I'm still liking the idea of belt drive cars, even though there is a little more maintenance!

From what I have overheard there is a difference in the steering on the new 502 which is not as good as the geometry as the 511. I think some feel that the 511 is still going to be the better option.

The TRF511 is the best buggy ever

I think the TRF502x is not fast enough but we will see this year

For me no TRF502x i love the TRF511 excellent car

Cheers marco

I've not tried a 502x yet. Only because I'm more than happy with the 511. So much so in fact that I've bought another new one. I'll have a little used one for sale sometime soon with some spares that I've got duplicates of. Pm me if you're interested.

I got to drive a mates 502 the other day, first time I've had the chance to. Once the suspension was set up correctly, it handled like I expected. Like my 511. It's basically the same car, only with shaft drive and a slightly different steering geometry. I still perfer the 511 since I'm so used to belt drive and I know it inside out. I'm more than content with what I have and dont plan on changing it any time soon.

time to bring this up to the top since I have a question.

I'd like to hear this straight from the horse's mouth

can team drivers tell me why they choose the 511 over the 502x at the cactus classic?
