Linkup between clubs?

Hi,

I'm starting a new club for 1/10th off road at the new community hall in Bracklesham bay near chichester. BMCR Bracklesham model car racers.

I came over to TORCH in January with my daughter for a quick look and it was after talking with people at the club that I decided to make the club for off road.

My hope would be that some people that race at TORCH may be interested in this club and that BMCR hopefully will encourage some new people into racing at TORCH.

BMCR will take place on wednesday evenings. I've booked the hall from 6-10pm with the hope of setting up by 6.30 and racing starting at 7. The track will be Prima felt GT carpet, 1.5 meters wide and marked out by 60mm square drainpipe.

I have bought an AMB20 timing system - PT's wont work with it but I have 20 working transponders.

I have also bought 2 Mad Rats for the club to use as rental cars for people interested in starting up.

Should be another track in the south soon which is great news for the area.

How's about an inter club championship towards the end of the year so when the weather is at it's worst we have the indoor venue as a defo place to go!!!!

Never raced in the old days even though i'm old, been racing for about 6 years now and mainly do nitro but have been to TORCH quite a lot and enjoy the meetings, but i do find that there could be more to it, can't quite put my finger on whats missing but a championship always makes you focus that little bit more and there's something special about going to other tracks and trying there layout with other drivers to compete against.
